MOMMY! Its early in the morning but I just wanted to say hi and I will be on later!

Later in the day...

Been an awesome yet crazy week at the MTC. For the 4th of July, we had a special devotional on Saturday night and had President Stoddard talk and I guess he was an advisor to 3 US Presidents. He talked about the sacrifices that have been made for this land and that this is the land of promise. Then they had missionaries bring in flags from all the countries where missionaries are now serving and the Spirit was so strong and it bore witness to me that this is the Divine work.

Then Sunday, we had Jenny Oaks Baker, an amazing violinist. You definitely should check her out and if you feel so inclined, buy me a couple of her CDs and send them my way :)

Oh, in gym, this Elder disloacted his ankle. It was pretty gross (I think thats the first time there has been an injury on the court and it WASN'T KYLE hehe)

Language is coming along a lot better, I can pretty much teach in Spanish. I will send you a picture of me with the map today.

I hear that I am no longer the CFO of sleep???? (facebook status) What! haha just kidding.

I'm learning to play the piano! Feel free to send me some snacks if you would like.  My goal is to learn a hymn while I am here then I'm going to master it! My fingers feel like they are moving so fast now! I'm going to be as good as Gracie ! ;)

I will send you some pics and a card for Grace - should be there by Monday.

Miss all of you and love you guys tons.

Hi Mom,

Pretty crazy and awesome week. Love going to the Temple every week, which I will miss because the Temple is closed for the next four weeks. There is no where else in the world that I like to be. I have been blessed to have some pretty sacred experiences while service in the House of the Lord. I know with all my heart that this is the true church of Jesus Christ on the earth today.

OH man, last Friday we had a special fireside and Elder Bednar spoke. Also in attendance was...dang I totally blanked out. I will write you a letter later today with those details.

Yup, me and Elder Facer are zone leaders. Pretty crazy. We had 29 new missionaries come into our zone yesterday and we had to show them around. That was pretty awesome.

Nate's president name was President Hacking. He called me up during Priestood meeting when he was in our branch and he was talking about the impact am ission can have on our lives, so I proceeded to kind of tell about Nate. Time and time again the Spirit testifies to me that this is the Lord's work and I have been called and set apart to do this work.

Thats awesome about Nick and his job offers. I have been meaning to write them..stilllllll waiting on the Anderson's address :)

So, are you going to be sending me a new camera?

Love you, hope all is well

Hey mom,
Nope, haven't got the package yet but I am anxiously awaiting it! I do see Jon like everyday during dinner. He is a good kid.  We are both in the MTC choir! ha ha. Too bad about the computer ha ha, its awesome here.

Later that day...

So I will write a real email now hah. So, this week I got called to be zone leader, which is pretty humbling because there are some really awesome missionaries. There a ton too! But I think we are losing some because they are in the advanced program.

The gym is closed this week so I have found out that I am quite the baller when it comes to soccer..ha ha - not. But its fun.

This week the twelve apostles are here to teach new mission presidents, so I have seen a couple around. The security is super tight because the prophet is here.

I am improving as a singer :D. I am a member of the MTC choir and I am rocking the house.

We lost 3 elders and 1 sister from my district this week to the MTC in Peru. I started to get really excited to leave, buuuut I have six weeks left. Time is starting to fly by, the days blend together. They are all the same pretty much except Sundays and Thursdays. Its super cool to get to the Temple once a week here.  Sundays re always awesome, this last one the district president was to call me and my companion to be zone leaders AND he is Nate's mission president. He is a great man. My branch presidency is awesome. The president was a mission president in Brazil and taught Portuguese at BYU for like 30 years. His 1st counselor was a Marine helicopter pilot during Vietnam. He is my favorite, I think. He reminds me a lot of dad and I think that is why I like him so much.

My district is so awesome, and so is my zone. Its really cool being able to know that you are set as a minister of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Well...I'm still waiting people's addresses : ) ha ha

Love you guys and miss you lots,

Elder Vasher
